Blue Bunny Yogurt Granola Bars

I’ve had the opportunity to sample a lot of foods we would never normally buy ever since a new Harris Teeter opened up locally. Mostly because they double coupons – they triple at the newest store so I get many brand name foods for a lot less now.

One of the neatest thing about Harris Teeter is, if you have the card and sign up for the e-Vic newsletter, you get a special coupon that is loaded into your Vic card. This is often in addition to the e-Vic item that is on the flyers. So really, you get two e-Vic items. Anyhow, last week’s e-Vic deal is the Blue Bunny Yogurt Granola Bars. Honestly, I had no idea this product even existed. The item normally goes for $3.99 and the e-Vic pre-loaded coupon is $3 meaning it’s only 99¢s; This is something I can’t pass up especially since I love frozen yogurt.Blue Bunny-yogurt-bar

We got the Double Strawberry flavor. Nutrition wise, it weighed in at 150 calories and 80 fat calories. Not exactly light but I would be OK.

The bars have a hard yogurt shell with some crunchy granola on the top. On top of the bar, under the shell is a layer of Strawberry like Jelly. Then there’s the Strawberry frozen yougurt. The bar is a good sized so it will definitely satisfy your ice cream cravings. It was a tad too sweet. Not sure whether that came from the yogurt shell or the strawberry jelly but I know it wasn’t the yogurt itself.

Overall, I really enjoyed every bite of it. It was quite a treat to the taste buds. You can go to Bluebunny’s website to see if they have any coupons that could apply.
