Coupons For Fresh Vegetables

November 18th, 2008 by Lynette

Since catching the bug, I’ve consistently saved 30% - 50% on my grocery bill. These are only for things we need on a regular basis. I’ve even got a nice stock pile of canned food, bath tissues, food, meats, frozen vegs, snacks you name it. Over here, we feed a big family. So even a 10% savings is a lot.

Now I know some of you are super gung ho couponers who scoff at my savings and tell me how you’ll never pay more then 50ยข or $0 for anything. I’ll reserve my thoughts and arguments for later.

But if you’re the type who just started, one of the common laments is its difficult to get coupons on fresh vegetables. I look at it two ways. What I save in other groceries, I put into fresh vegs. So either way you’re saving. The second way is there are but it is rare. One I know is Food Lion’s shopper’s companion email.

If you have a Food Lion locally, get signed up for that. Once in a while (not every week) they’ll send you an Internet Printable coupon for fresh produce. I’ve already received 2 so far and they were both $3 off $5 worth of fresh produce.
