What Are You Having Today?
July 24th, 2007 by LynetteI am ever so lucky to have my mom here. Walked into the kitchen today and found this! Yes! One of my favorites.
For the benefit others, curry puffs are like Samosa’s except the pastry is different. It is also commonly filled with curried potatoes with minced meat, or my mom’s favorite - shrimp.
My mom is also an adventurer when it comes to cooking. She fried some flour tortillas up once (see picture below) and wow. They taste great! Better with salsa! Yum.

Lyn … were the tortillas crispy-crunchy? I didn’t know they could be fried into chips. I make grilled cheese sandwiches with them as appertizers.
Will try your mom’s creation.

My mom’s recipe and mine for curry puff different-lah, but I will post one here. I very lazy one. If I make curry puff, I just make like cooking curry chicken - but boil the curry more dry. Then I use the frozen pastry! LOL aiyooo you all gonna laugh at my cooking methods lah.
Rita, yes! The tortillas are very crunchy-crispy. My kids eat it with the canned spray cheese. But it tastes good kosong also.

I miss curry puffs!! I can never get the dough right.
